Is NLP Still Popular?
While you don’t see much “news” about neurolinguistic programming, it is still growing in popularity because its often a component of many self-help programs as well as having many health and business applications (especially in sales).
Personally, I don’t see NLP ever “going away” because the fundamental parts of NLP are highly valuable and can be incredibly helpful. The problem I’ve seen is that many parts of NLP that are more experimental or overemphasized have been the primary focal points of criticisms, which have reduced some of its mainstream popularity.
That said, you’ll see things like Motivational Interviewing growing like wildfire, and many of the communication patterns have been taught in the NLP community for decades.
So is NLP still popular? That largely depends on whom you ask!
